Fiction ᐧ Essays ᐧ Memoir
I write because it’s how I’ve always made sense of the world.
I find myself returning to the questions that have always fascinated me: How do the people we love shape who we are? What do we inherit, and what do we choose? How does history continue to live inside ordinary families? What do we owe one another after disappointment, forgiveness, or loss?
At any given moment I’m usually juggling several projects and convincing myself they’re all progressing nicely. At the moment, those include: two short stories, a book review, three essays, and a novel.
I studied English at the University of Rochester and law at the Georgetown University Law Center, and I’m now enrolled in the Creative Writing MFA program at American University.
